Massage and Stretching can release stress, soothe muscles and alleviate pain

Massage

Each session is a building block, training your body to maintain its relaxed state through breathing and teaching your muscles to stay calm and relaxed.

Deep tissue massage goes way beyond pressing harder on the muscle. It’s about connecting with the client on the table so they are relaxed enough so that I can feel the body’s layers, not by force, though through gradual depth. Allowing the muscle tissues to release without strain or resistance.

Stretch Therapy

Stretch therapy can help increase muscle flexibility and mobility over time. It’s beneficial for anyone at any age and it’s best to incorporate these practices into your life sooner rather than later.

Through my experience as a bodywork practitioner, I frequently seem to come across a lot of male clients between the ages of 35 - 65. Most of which have hardly never participated in any physical actives during their lives, or those which have been physical, playing a lot of sports though had never been in the habit of stretching before and after their activities. These are the clients which come in stating how much pain they are in and that they would like nothing more than to run and play with their kid but they can’t due to their lower back.

Stretching works by lengthening your muscles, which allows you to move more easily. It also increases the mobilisation and range of motion in joints which may feel blocked.

If you DO NOT feel fully mobile or pain free within your body. Don’t allow this to become your new normal. Please act now. Your future self will thank you for it.

HERE ARE SOME BENEFITS OF MASSAGE AND STRETCH THERAPIES

Lower your stress levels

The long-term effects of stress can take emotional and physical tolls. Massage and stretch therapy relieves stress and conditions associated with it, such as tension headaches.

Increase immune function

Medical researches indicate that massage and stretch therapy can help boost immune system strength by increasing the activity level of the body’s natural “killer T cells,” which fight off viruses.

Manage pain

Pain can negatively affect a person’s quality of life and impede recovery from illness or injury. Recent findings highlight the role of massage and stretch therapies in pain management.

Boost mental health and wellness

Researches suggest that symptoms of stress, anxiety and depression (all associated with mental health) may be directly affected with massage and stretch therapy.

Improve physical fitness

Elite and recreational athletes alike can benefit from massage and stretch therapies. These therapies can reduce muscle tension, improve exercise performance and prevent injuries.
